Jeffrey Kibet Kosgei is an award-winning social entrepreneur passionate about the environment, youth, and education. Trained as an economist, he has six years of work experience as a banker. Jeffrey is the founder of One Child One Tree Africa, an organization that has engaged over 22,000 school children in addressing climate change through environmental and climate education, as well as tree planting. He is actively involved in advocacy, contributing commentaries on topical issues, including environmental, youth, and educational policies. His articles have been published in leading Kenyan dailies.
Jeffrey has demonstrated exceptional leadership in various community development campaigns and organizations, including serving as Country Director for the One African Child Foundation, Global Youth Ambassador for Theirworld, and National Coordinator for the Queens Commonwealth Trust Network.
He is the recipient of the 2017 Youth Volunteer of the Year Award by the Government of Kenya and was a finalist for the 2021 Top 35 Under 35 recognition by the Ministry of ICT, Innovations, and Youth. Additionally, he was listed among the 2021 Top 100 Young African Conservation Leaders by a consortium of organizations, including the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF).
